Many Japanese companies take 2–3 years to carefully plan overseas expansion.

However, some companies may have the following goals in mind:

Enter promising overseas markets with a focus on speed

Have a local manager who can handle strategy development and build trust with customers

Avoid the risk of direct local employment until Product-Market Fit (PMF) is confirmed

Frequently Asked Questions

We are considering expanding into a certain country. Would you be able to support us?

While we generally support countries and regions worldwide, there are some areas—such as certain parts of Asia, Africa, and Latin America—where it may be challenging to introduce a local manager. If you could contact us, we would be happy to confirm whether support is possible for the specific country in question.

What type of contract will be used?

You will enter into an outsourcing contract with us, Clareza Partners. Through the local member firm of the Valtus Alliance, we then engage management professionals and entrust them with delivering the services.

How will the activity status be monitored?

You will receive regular reports from local managers regarding the activities and the time spent. The reporting method (e.g., email, conference calls) and frequency will be discussed and decided prior to the start of activities. We can also provide support in facilitating such reporting and communication from the local manager.

What is the cost of hiring a Local Manager?

The daily rate will be determined at the time of contract, and you will bear the cost based on the actual number of working days. Expenses necessary for on-site activities (such as transportation costs) will be invoiced at actual cost; however, there will be no additional costs such as referral fees, social insurance premiums, employee benefits, or bonuses.

What if we want to withdraw from a country we tried to expand into?

You can withdraw by terminating the service contract with the local manager. In principle, a notice at least 45 days in advance is required.
